When Alice Found Wonderland

Mad Hatter (to Alice) “You used to be much more..."muchier." You've lost your muchness.”
― Lewis CarrollAlice in Wonderland

The matter of muchness.
I think about the artists and photographers that have inspire me and my work, their work sometimes overflows with muchness, happily floating above all the other mediocre art on their fluffy little cloud (Enter image of Annie Leibovitz in Sistine Chapel.).
However I've come to realise that I have most likely had the wrong impression of muchness all along.
Muchness seems to me something that each individual person has running through their veins. It's not the muchness that the greats such as Richard Avedon have already achieved, it would not be muchness if we all had to achieve exactly what those people we admire already have.
We each have a muchness that is completely apart in greatness.

Take a look into the history of the people that you are inspire by the most, you will likely find that these  great people worked incredibly hard, tried many different things, went through great difficulty (unless it's a Hilton sister, then you should probably not be reading this post.) and then found their 'muchness'.
All great things take time and work.

It takes falling down a few rabbit holes,
Slaying a few jaberwocky's,
putting up with a few Mad Hatters,
to finally find something truly great.

However at the end of the day
each person should take the time to find their unique
'muchness'.
It'd be a shame to let yours go to waste.
